Answer I'd file this under the "I don't know" category, but this is such a great question.
Firstly, I'd like to say that I am a skeptic. This is why, most likely, I do not believe Thom and Stipe ever were romantically involved. However, no one is wrong in assuming that they could've. Michael Stipe has been rumoured to be homosexual/bisexual. I'm not a homosexual, and I've never been attracted sexually to a man, however, when two people love eachother then these certain feelings could arise, especially with two cooky gentlement such as Thom and Michael. Therefore, I'm not completely dismissing it as a possibility, however, there is no proof that an affair actually occurred.
