Answer
Hi, Barbara.

I am not a physician, so I'll refer you to several web pages that may help you to understand more about:

1) atrial fibrillation

2) your enlarged left atrial chamber

3) coronary artery calcification

4) old granulomatous disease

If you need more information about any of these topics, your physician will be able to help. S/He is in the best position to answer these questions as they pertain to you specifically.

Hope this helps,

Radiology

Expertise

I am not qualified to interpret diagnostic imaging or to diagnose disease. Please consult a physician for that information. I am the photographer. I can tell you what to expect during most MRI, CT and X-ray procedures.

Experience

I now have more than 30 years experience in diagnostic imaging. My specialty is MRI. I am also very familiar with CT and the way we used to take x-rays (everything's digital now)!

Education/Credentials
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology.
