Radiology/Spect Scan vs Bone Scan

Question
Hello,

In the case of suspected bone metastasis from gastric cancer,
which scan is more accurate and reliable?

Thank you

Answer
I'm very sorry for the long delay in answering your question. Bone scan will certainly find the metastatic disease. SPECT scan may localize each spot a little bit better within each bone. Localisation however is often not clinically significant and useful.
