Question
What tissue weighting factor is used in the calculation of the effective dose for; Neck CT and spine CT?
Also, do you happen to know the effective dose for a lumbar spine CT?

Thank you

Answer
Marianne,
The TWF used for exams vary.
If you are trying to calculate radiation dose from certain CTs or know exposure then I suggest looking at xrayrisk.com
also check this ppt
www.ddmed.eu/_media/training_course:tsapaki_effective_dose_in_ct.pdf
There is a lot of info there that may be of value. I am not sure if you are researching something or not.
