What is the significance of Rage Against the Machine's Red Star?

Answer
Finally, someone asks an important question.

The red star is a touchy subject with me, because now other people, i guess you'd call them 'goth', wear it on patches and stickers and clothes. The red star on a black background is the symbol of support for the Zapastista movement in Mexico. It started on New Year's Day (War Within a Breath) in 1994.
