Answer
Ruddie,

Were you ever a victim? Your response really alarmed me into thinking that maybe you were a victim but repressed any memory? Your niece it sounds like it getting the help that she needs and she’ll be ok. It’s not alright and right now she is dealing with a lot and it will be an uphill battle, but thankfully she’s getting the help.  Maybe you too can consider seeing someone to talk about how its making you feel?  I don’t know your location, so visit www.rainn.org (Rape Abuse and Incest National Network). Go to Get Help, then go to find a Local Counseling Center. Once you get there put in your zip code and it will generate a list of help in your area.

I understand your fears, emotions, and concerns. But they need to be addressed, so that your relationships are not tarnished.

I wish you and your niece all the best,
Kim
