Question Recently one of my best friends disappeared just from everywhere. She
wouldn't answer her phone, her brother and parents refused to talk about her
and then just refused to talk to me at all. Out of no where she called me the
other day and asked to hangout. Of course i said yes because i missed her
and was worried and i wanted to make sure she was ok. When i went to see
her she acted completely different, like she didn't know who she was. She
kept repeating herself as well as went up to strangers and asked them their
name and if they wanted to go for a walk with her. She was also talking about
how she doesn't know if she believes in God, but before any of this she was a
strong believer in him. She repeated herself often, continuously asking me if i
knew she loved me, and if i loved her. Another thing was she kept on saying
she wanted to get married, and that she wanted to get married to anyone
today. She was also very obsessed with eyes and looking at our eyes. Its like
its not even her, like she is just a shell of who she was. I worry about her and
wonder what could have caused her to act in this way. I just want to know if
these are signs that she could have been raped, and how i can help her.
Answer Katie,
She COULD have been raped and or abused. It's really hard to say, but either way, something is very wrong and I don't know her and yet with your description I too would be worried. I think you need to get her professional help ASAP in your area. If she is a minor you need to talk with her parents, and consider hospitalization if you are fearful that she may be in danger of someone or even of herself.
At this point I wouldn't wait, I would get help locally AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
