Question
Hello,
My father refinaced a home that my brother and myself, along with my father live in. The mortage company put my name and my brothers name on the title, even though neither my brother nor myself are responsible for paying. I am on disability and plan on moving to another state to try and get employment. I do not want nor do I think it is nessarry to have my name on the title. How would I go about getting it removed. Also, my credit is less than desirable and I don't want it to effect my Father or brother in any way, as well as I will not be living in the home anyway. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.-Regards-Skyler

Answer
Contact the title company and ask them waht is necessary to get yourself off title.  Usually this is done by a quit claim deed which is recorded through the county recorders office.  You can get all the paperwork necessary from the title company or an escrow comapny.  Good luck!
