Answer Technically you do not ahve to tell the tenants anything. Actually, I would not tell them a thing, otherwise they will rebel and not pay their rent.
As an aside, bankruptcy may not be the only solution to your situation. Often you can avoid it with a simple understanding of debt and having an informed, advocate negotiate with your creditors.
