Question I recently sold my mobile home park. I sold the park with no warranty at all, as is, where is. I assigned all of my residential leases to the new owner. A tenant has just moved out and wants their original deposit back. Who is responsible to refund this deposit? I live in Louisiana. Thank you.. Kenneh
Answer You were to provide the deposit money to the new owner. If you did not, then it remains your responsibility as you kept the security deposits. Security deposits are paid to the new owner in addition to the purchase price unless they were treated as a credit on the HUD-1.
