Question
I live in Calif. and have 2 months (May)left on my lease. The owner wants to put the house up for sale right now and wants me to show it. I don't want anyone walking through my house. Do I legally have to show the house or does the owner have to wait until the lease is up.

Answer
Scott:

I'm not sure how things work in California so you may want to consult with someone there that knows more on your particular legalities.

In WI a owner can put a property up for sale while it's rented. They can't require the tenant to show the home. They can come into the home with a 12 hour advance notice.

Again, check out California law....maybe google "California landlord tenant"
