Subject: Manhattan neighborhoods

Question
Hi. I was just wondering are neighborhoods like Soho and Tribeca really considered family-friendly? I have always heard that the more family-friendly areas are the Upper West Side and Upper East Side. I usually think of Soho and Tribeca as neighborhoods for singles who like to go to the clubs in those areas. Thanks in advance!

Answer
i would have to agree with those who told you about Soho, and tribe being for singles.

As much as it's a great place to live, the population there are singles. Because of that it makes everything around it for single people, thus the pubs, lounges, clubs, and variety of places for younger crowd.

I think best places for family oriented individual would be... upper manhattan, mid manhattan. or all the way south manhattan, by battery park city, and financial district.

Please if you are interested in seeing some of these areas, i have couple of connections in lower manhattan, and mid manhattan, E50s to high e92nd street which i think it's a very very family oriented environment.
