Question Hi, we have been searching for a house for the past year and a half, and we keep coming across problem houses and sellers. We came across a house that suits us, we had it inspected and it was found to have a leaky roof,inspecter said in need of a new roof....also boiler does not work, it was original to house 1953. I always thought that in ny you had to have a roof that doesnt leak and a boiler that works. Who is responsible? We would like the seller to take money off the price of the house. We did sign withe the selling agent a purchase agreement for price....please tell us our options.
