Question
Can a NY landlord charge for his own labor and not hire it for damamges and cleaning.
Answer
Hi Steve,
As I am not a lawyer I can't answer what the law says, however as a Realtor, I would say that there is a customarily and reasonable amount for each task that the landlord would need to do to put the rental back into "Rental Ready Condition". Whether he hires it done or does it himself shouldn't matter. For a more legal answer, I recommend you consult your attorney.
