Question Is it PA law that the seller pays commissions to both the seller's and the buyer's agents?
Answer All commissions are negotiable. When you sell your house yourself by owner you are the seller ( no agent )so no selling commission and you can choose not to work with buyers that have agents..if you find a neighbor or a friend that wants to buyer your house and they are not working with an agent there will be no commission there..it will probably be a lot harder to find buyers that are not working with agents. You would have to find your own buyers. Once you let an agent in you house with buyers then it is a different story. If you are going to sell your house and do not want to pay the buyers agent a commission the agent will bypass your house and show others and no buyer is going to want to pay their agent a commission out of there own pocket. Hope this answered your question.
Thanks,
Brettney
