Expert: Al Romero, Ltrs. Date: 1/15/2008 Subject: deed stipulations
Question We bought a restaurant in Fulton County Pa. 7 years ago. At that time the real estate broker said the liquor stipulations would expire in 2008, 20 years since they were put on. The property has changed hands 3 times since then ,if it matters. I can't find on the internet where they do expire. Do deed stipulations ever expire ?
Answer They can expire depending how it was written, it would be right there in the deed, go to the local court house or recorder of deeds and get a copy of your deed or have the attorney that did the closing for you obtain a copy for you it will have the deed restrictions, stipulations right there.
