Question My husband and I are building a house and the loan will be in both names. Would putting the deed in my name alone protect the house if he were ever sued? He is agreeable to this.
Answer More than likely your mortgage company will require both your names on the deed since the loan will be in both your names so check with them first. If not, then you should consult with a qualified attorney in your area as laws to that regard can be different in different areas.
