About Scott Killian www.SaveWithScott.com
Expertise
Texas Residential Real Estate needs in Tarrant County and the Mid-Cities area. Questions should involve buying or selling a home. Do you have a question about how your home is being marketed? How it is in the MLS? How is the price? How is the competition? Buying a home, what do I need to do to get started? How do I get pre-approved? Can you show me houses? Do I specialize in your area? How many homes has my agent sold before? Questions along this line are good things to ask. If you have a deed question or legal question, these type of questions need to be addressed to a real estate lawyer. I would be happy to recommend one if you like by just giving me a call at 817-703-1165. Please visit www.SaveWithScott.com for more information about my company, Scott Real Estate

Subject: Lein free home and land owned by heirs

Question
My mother died in 1982 leaving no will. My dad died in 1984, in testate, and the estate has been probated leaving the home and land free and clear to my brothers and sisters and me. Three siblings have since died leaving heirs. My family wishes to sell the home and land and keep it in the family.  My husband and I would like to purchase it with cash (no financing) from my siblings. Is there a way that the family can handle the transfer of title deed, or whatever term is correct, from the heirs and have it put into our names without either the family or my husband and myself having to pay any closing cost, etc. on the purchase price?  What would be the most economical way to handle this transaction?  Your assistance will be most appreciated. Thanks!

l

Answer
I would call Gretchen Wright at Land America Title Company to handle this transaction.  817-552-3900.  She should be able to handle this.

If you ever need a realtor, please call me.
