Question
I found plans for a home I would like to have built. Primary Style: Mediterranean Stories: 2 Square Footage Total: 4759 sq. ft. Second Level: 1,213 Main Level: 3,546
Dimensions Width: 96'    Depth: 83'

I don't know anything about building house so I was wondering what is the minimum size lot I would need to build this house. I was thinking a acre, but that seems far to big. Do you know how much a acre of land sales for in Houston Texas?

Answer
Emberly,

I don't do much work with new building.  I would think (off the top of my head) you might want 1/2 of an acre.  you might be able to do with a little less.  Your builder should be able to help.

I'm sorry I can't help you with land prices in Houston.  I am in the Dallas area.  You should be able to call a local real estate agent who can help you.

Eric
