Subject: Survey Expiration

Question
If the last survey done on a home was in 2002, and the seller is selling in June 2007, would they have to purchase a new survey? Because the last one was too old? This is in Houston, TX.

Answer
It sounds like the survey is pretty new and will most likely be accepted.  However, that will be a question that a title company can best answer after they review it.  You can probably stop by any title company, show them the survey and ask their opinion.  They are wanting your business so they will most likely be glad to assist you.
