hi lara,i'm athena and i'd like to ask you some questions on anthony's girlfriends jenifer and yohanna.as i've read his book,i was impressed by his girlfriend jenifer(sorry i don't know her last name).can you tell me what is she doin' with her life nowdays?now another thing i'd like to ask is about anthony's relationship with yohanna logan.i've heard some rumors that she had had a miscarriage while dating anthony.is that true?and there are rumors that the song "dosed" is about that situation.thanx in advance for your time

Hey Athena!  What an awesome and challenging question!
With regards to Jennifer, Anthony's girlfriend from his book "Scar Tissue", her last name is Bruce.  I'm sorry but I don't know much other than that, aside from what he has written about her in the book.  They dated for a period back in the mid-eighties; not much out there other than that.  I guess you could say that she's somewhat of an "enigma".  His writings about her, definitely intrigued me too, though.  In his words about Jennifer Bruce he writes: "She out-Gwen Stefanied Gwen Stefani before there even was a Gwen Stefani".  Hahaha! That part made me laugh.  If you've ever watched the video "Off the Map", he mentions her briefly:  "Jennifer Bruce, she looked good in a mowhawk! You know what I'm talking about..... downstairs." Dirty Anthony....lol!
With regards to the rumor about Yohanna Logan having a miscarriage while with Anthony....I had never heard this rumor before, and the lyrics sure would make sense if this was the case:  "Take it away, I never had it anyways..", "All I ever wanted was your life" etc., however, after much research on this topic, I have come to the conclusion that it is just that..a rumor.  
I do know that the couple broke up partly because, he wanted children, and she did not.  It's debatable as to what exactly the song means.  Anthony has said that the album was written during and after their breakup, and attributes a lot of the inspiration of the songs to that.  It is completely plausible that this "rumor" is in fact a "truth".  The only people who truly know what went on, are Anthony and Yohanna.  Any lyric that Anthony writes, obviously has some personal meaning to him, however, he does acknowledge that interpretation of individual songs are, really, up to the listener.  If you get a message from a song that inspires you or moves you in any way (which most RHCP songs do for me) I think that is really the point.  This is the brilliance of the Red Hot Chili Peppers music.  Thanks for your questions Athena!  I'm sorry if I didn't give you the answers that you were looking for, but I tried!
