Experience According to me the definition of good fortune is: one who enjoys good health, has the physical and mental capabilities of achieving his goals, has good appearance, has happiness in mind and is not prone to accidents…I think such a person can be called a fortunate person. Whether anyone believes me or not, I have learnt from this life that everyone is born with a balance of fortune or misfortune. I understood that sum total of a man’s personality and life, depends upon three factors: one: GENETIC FACTOR, two: ENVIRONMENT FACTOR and three: HARDWORK FACTOR. And all these three factors are not in one’s hand. One cannot take birth with good genetic qualities of one’s choice. One cannot as a child arrange a good environment for himself. He lives where he is born, in his family and goes to the school where his parents put him into and plays with such kids who are available. Ability to work hard also depends upon his genetic qualities and environments like his aptitude, attitude, health, nutrition, and motivation and may be many other factors. But all such factors are not his choice but he has to live with them as ‘chance’ grants him. So this chance is luck or fortune and some are fortunate and some are not fortunate.
I suffered from conginital nystagmus due to which never enjoyed normal vision and hormonal misbalance in brain. Hormone called serotonin remained in abnormally lesser quantity in my brain due to which I suffered from acute lack of mental concentration, lethargy, lack of memory and also from chronic depression. So I call myself unfortunate. Because I felt I was unfortunate, I always searched answer to the question why is somebody is fortunate and why is somebody not?
My search went on. I even meditated for hours everyday and searched within to get the answer. After more than 34 years of search, I got some answers and so I know now what is the role of reincarnation in context with our fortune or misfortune.

Question Dear Mr.Sirkar
First I would like to thank you for taking your valuable time.Let me tell you ,as you advise everybody ,to perform the legitimate duties, to speak the truth ,try to make everyone happy and do not hurt anybody; I have been following all these principles honestly since from my childhood. However from 2002-2008 ,I am going through a severe misfortune ,which I don't have any explanation.
I joined to one research institute,India,1999, through an all India examination, as a research scholar in physics. From very beginning, I found many persons in the institute are quite harmful to me ,i.e. trying to suppress me and putting false scandal on my name, poisoning my academic and personal life, although I always tried to do welfare of all class of people including the labors at the institute, tried to spread education among the villagers outside and so on. In 2001,March I chose a research advisor (mostly due to psychological pressure on me from this harmful society and somewhat by my own willingness), about whom I did not know that he is politically ousted from the group of scientist working that area and hence I was. As a consequence,I was mentally tortured by the other scientists.They suppressed my all research works,through cheating and applying brutal pressure. I was terminated from the institute,at the end of five years(end 2004)with the excuse of no publication, although I had some incomplete unpublished research works which the authorities completely denied.As a devoted research scholar ,without any alternative , I completed the works, undertaken from there, from home, with extreme hardworking , due to some tentative assurance from those scientists. However once I sent up my research projects to the institute ,middle 2007,Authorities took U-turn, again standing on my way to block my any official/unofficial entry to the institute to sit with my advisor to complete and publish my research works.So, I am again strongly betrayed ! I strongly intend to publish my works and pursue my research career,however no way to proceed!
At the same time, end 2007, one of my elder cousin brother, most close to me, passed away unexpectedly, left our family in complete darkness. We are dealing life like a dead person!
Any explanation for the above? Why all the miseries came at the same time? Any light may come in the future? Also the scientists and some others ,who caused our distress and who are going completely against your principle of karma ,i.e. making torture on others and so on, enjoying their life soooooo much! They have been playing these dirty games ,since, long back! Is it feasible to believe in the principle of karma even after this?

I really feel for you while I can understand as to why things are bad with you. I am afraid, in your previous reincarnation, you have been playing the same kind of dirty games like your colleagues have been playing with you and you had illegitimately gained from such dirty games in your previous birth. Now I will request you to pray every morning, at least for 15 minutes, to give you serenity and strength to bear the "laws of nature" which none can change. Also you must, every morning gaze at the rising sun, when it is red in colour for at least 2 minutes. And please visit the URL:
