About Sandra Sparks
Expertise
I can answer questions on reincarnation, personal past life research, famous past lives, and alternative memory theories (otherwise known as: if it's not reincarnation, what is it?) I DO NOT DO PSYCHIC READINGS - there is no quick answer to who you may have been in a past lifetime. But I can help you find the ways to uncover the past life memories you have within.

Experience
I have written a workbook for past life recall called Going Past, which will be re-issued in an updated version in the near future. I run a discussion group called The Reincarnation Cafe, and a comprehensive website called The Reincarnation Compendium. I have just launched a youtube channel called Far Memory, http://www.youtube.com/farmemory which offers a selection of videos on past life recall.

Publications
I have new books coming out within the next few months on Amazon.com: "Psychic Sensibility," which is coming out in June 2009, and "The Waterhouse Witch," which is an account of my own past life discoveries. For other writing, you will find the most pertinent examples on the internet, at the Reincarnation Compendium: http://home.earthlink.net/~reincarnationcafe, and at The Chip Coffey Message Board, for which I am the moderator: http://chipcoffey.proboards45.com/

Education/Credentials
My work in reincarnation developed as I researched my own past lives, and discovered the best ways for conducting personal past life recall. I have been writing regards reincarnation and related matters since 1997, primarily on the internet.

Reincarnation - Could this be a past life?

Question
Hi Sandra...Throughout my life, I have had dreams where I was someone else. I've been male in some of these dreams although I'm actually female. I've seen myself as other people in other periods of time for instance, in sword fights hundreds of years ago. I've been killed in these dreams as well as killing others in battle. Being killed was not fun! I recall the pain of being stabbed. I dont have these dreams all the time & hadnt had one in awhile but the other night I had a very realistic dream. I was having a party at my home which was a large old 2 story house. I've never seen that house before but I knew it was mine. The house was full of friends & family yet I dont know who any of these people were. They are not friends or family of mine now. I remember going upstairs to the bathroom to freshen my lipstick & there was a man coming out of the bathroom who was supposed to have been my father. I knew it was my dad but it wasnt anyone that I now know. We spoke & then he left & I went to the mirror & as I looked in it, I saw a young pretty woman who looked absolutely nothing like me. Even in the dream I was looking in the mirror & thinking that's not my face but I know it's me. Just like I knew the man was my father although he is not my real dad. The clothing I wore looked quite vintage...a 40's dressy suit with a form fitting jacket & straight skirt. Actually the house was decorated with vintage furniture, etc. & the others in the house also were dressed in that 40's look but it's like I didnt find that too odd until I looked in the mirror & saw a face looking back that was not me & yet I KNEW it was me. Then I suddenly realized that we'd all been speaking with British accents & I'm not British! When I woke up, the dream was still very vivid in my mind down to the details of what my suit looked like & my hair style & makeup. I couldnt help but wonder if this was a glimpse of a past life? Could I have been a young woman in 1940's England? Another recurring dream I've had since childhood is of a tidal wave coming towards me. I'm on an island & I look out to sea & there's a huge wave & I'm frantically looking for somewhere to run so I can escape the wave. I remember grabbing a tree & holding on for dear life as the wave overcomes me. These have always been terrifying dreams & I'm still having them. Do you think that these dreams could be evidence of past lives for me? I've talked to other people I know about having dreams where I'm not myself & not one of these friends or family have ever dreamed that they were anyone but who they are! What is your opinion of these unusual dreams of mine? Thanks for any insight you can give me.

Answer
Hi, Kim!

The dream about the 40's seems most likely to have been a past life dream because of the great amount of detail. The fighting dreams - did you always seem to be the same person, or do you know? They probably are past life dreams, especially since you felt the pain of death, but look at back at them and see if: the place was similar each time, if the battle was similar each time. None of it has to be exact - one of the things we have to face with our recall is that details of dreams and memories are sometimes influenced by things we know, assume, or believe in our current life.

The tidal wave dreams, that recur again and again are not past life dreams. I have such recurrent dreams about tornadoes, but I know they always have to do with turbulence and change in my life and in my surroundings, and can tell what the dream is probably about by what the tornado hits, what color it is, who all is in the dream. A tidal wave is a symbol of being overwhelmed, and you might have these dreams whenever you are feeling that way, and need to vent the stress and emotion.

I hope this helps; let me know if you need anything else!

Sandra
