Question I have very vivid dreams. It is as though I am really experiencing and associating with people in my dreams. It is more real than a dream. Some of these people have been relatives that I have never met. When I remember names and places, I will look them up. Have I lived these dream events before or am I communicating with dead people? Thank-you.
Answer Vivid dreams are the dreams that are capable of becoming lucid dreams - if we manage to become aware of that while we are dreaming, we are able to have more control over what is happening, direct our actions, our words, our attention, more than in our regular dreams. In these vivid dreams, we sometimes do communicate with others - and not just those who have passed on, or have memories of people or lives of the past. Anything is possible in this dreaming.
This form of dreaming is the real Internet, when we tap into the universal consciousness, rather than just dream about and process the things that are happening within our own minds. Spirit guides use this as a teaching forum; people who are afraid to communicate with us about how they really feel will be more honest in this form; we are able to go faster and farther in this dreamtime.
Will other people be aware they are communicating with us in our dreams? Only rarely. I feel that we never disconnect from this dream Internet - that when we are not actively dreaming ourselves, our subconscious minds are taking part in someone else's dreams. Cane part of it be past life? Yes. Can part of it be communication with the dead? Of course. This is the dreamstate where everything is possible. The tricky part is knowing what is being communicated.
Understanding your dreams, and being able to participate more fully in your lucid dreams, becomes easier by taking one simple step: get in the habit of keeping a dream journal. It exercises your brain and makes it easier for you to remember details...
