Question Dear Sandra
I have dreams every night and I remember all my dreams the morning after. I awake exhausted at times as in my dreams I travel to different places, sometimes foreign and in other times. Most of my dreams are about Tsumanis or huge waves. I also dream about fires.In all of these earthly disasters I somehow survive.I feel scared and anxious.Could this be related to fears I had from a previous life?
Last week I was shopping with my boyfriend and a lady came up to me as if she knew me. She asked how I was? Confused I replied I was doing fine. She enquired about my country of birth and I told her South Africa. She said that she knew me from another life and that I was born in Egypt. I was also not previously Indian. She also looked at my boyfriend and said that he knows that I was meant for him. Its weird cos my boyfriend had been married before and because of that he fears commitment to marriage or even letting me know that we belong together. After hearing this lady I felt good cos it was a confirmation from someone who could have been a physic as she knew my fears. I am hindu and I beleive in reincarnation and karma. Please made me understand these things.

I used to have similar dreams about both natural and man made disasters, but none turned out to have to do with past life - they were connected to my uncertainties about how my current life would go. Once I was pointed in the right direction, all of these dreams stopped, because my fears about the future stopped. Even now, during hard times, because I know my direction, these dreams have not returned.
I am leery of anyone just walking up to someone and declaring what their past life was. As a psychic, I do get some indications about others, but I do not give past life readings because I know it will interfere with the person remembering what they are supposed to, and going in the right direction with their own memories.
I also remember perfectly well the man who confidently walked up to me and told me I had been a Colonel in America's revolutionary war, when I knew, and had been able to verify my memories, that I was a Bavarian man who lived in a village named Neudorf at the time of the war! It was the one life where I remembered even my name when I was young, and found a man of that name and that place in Internet records a few years ago. So - the man told me the wrong thing.

Don't think I am tossing out the past life connection to your boyfriend that you feel - I'm not. Such a connection between two people is obvious to many sensitive people. I feel it just through your letter, but I would not label it in any way - it's your strong bond, and one worth working on. Just remember that a past life connection does not mean that your present path will be smooth - we all have to work on our present relationships to make them the best they can be, and we can't depend on past life relationships to make the present path easy.
I would suggest that you start keeping a journal. Since you are a vivid dreamer,this should be easier for you to do. Before you go to sleep at night, ask for guidance in your dreams, according to the traditions of your religion, because your personal customs will help you focus your intention. Ask for your path to become clearer in your dreams. Accept and tell yourself that the natural disasters are your fears, and let that knowledge start getting through to your dreaming mind. Write down what you would like to know through your dreams. Don't expect instant results, but keep planting the intention. I did. One dream came through that unlocked my past, and the memories have been coming ever since.
