Repairing Copiers & Faxes/Fax in memory

Question
Trying to print fax in memory. Loads paper in readiness to print. Tries to move paper, but can't. Appear to be a blockage on left side about 2 inches from edge as evidenced by a dent on the paper. Have cleaned the roller and this is not the problem

Answer
what model fax machine?
Ok lets assume its a generic question.  If paper is unable to feed from tray and it appears to be blocked... then you need to open the machine and remove the blockage... if its from the tray then most likely you had a jam and the paper got torn when you removed it... if you had a jam then it might mean your feed rollers are dirty... if dirty clean with a dry cloth and rubbing alcohol.  as for the jam... locat exactly where it is occuring and slide a flat ruler into the area... sometimes this jars it out... if not then use flat ruler to get a good idea where it is at and find another way to get to it... just make sure the paper isn't caught in any flags or springs... other times the paper gets jammed into the back of the machine.. its just a wad messing with gears removing is easy...

without knowledge of model those are my generic answers...
