Reptiles - Sick Gecko

Question
My gecko has a large red bump on his/her right side behind the leg and I saw red tissue coming out of his/her anus earlier today. He/she has been very lethargic and has been sleeping constantly. What can I do for my gecko to make his/her better??

Answer
Corrie,                                                                It sounds like an infection in possibly the femoral pores on the inside of their thigh. Take him to a vet immediately....he needs antibiotic....since it has gotten this bad I wouldn't use over the counter stuff from your petshop for fear that he may not eat enough of it...Good Luck,Tina
