Question
I have a red tail boa and i was wondering if it would be safe to feed it a bird. And also if you would know what is wrong with a snake that acts dead and wont move, gets turned over and cant get back on it's stomach. I got 7 off the internet and so far 2 have done this and died, and all but 1 need to be force fed.

Answer
Hey Lindsey,

you can feed your boa chicks or baby chickens safely, as for buying reptiles on the internet as you have experianced so far it can be a nightmare, your boa,s should eat with out force feeding and force feeding is extremely stressful on your reptiles , i would really suggest you take a sick or dead snake thatyou have purchased to the vet and have them checked out for parisites and any thing else that could be wrong. when i lose a reptile after shipping or shortly after i freeze them and then take them to my vet to be looked at.
