Reptiles - Restraint

Expert: Beth - 4/27/2004

Question
I am trying to restrain a brookesia minima aka a pygmy chameleon.  Are there harnesses I can buy for these stout little dudes?  I mean my arm hurts from trying to hold them back.  I have one I nick named kujo, because he is a real watchdog.  Please help.  My friends and family are afraid to come over anymore.  It is not the size, but the spirit that puts fear in people.

Cletus Edmond

Answer
Cletus,

Yes, actually there should be harnesses out for almost any size reptiles out there. If not, I think you would be able to use a dog harness, maybe. But yes, at pet stores there should be harnesses out there for reptiles.

Thanks.

BethE.
