Question We are a new start up company in Oregon. We have obtained a couple of landlords that are not currently happy with their current property management company. Can you tell me what is protocol in requesting the Tenant Ledger, Copy of Rental Agreement, Applications for current tenants, payment history, etc. from the previous property management company. I have the Landlord/Tenant guide, however, did not see any information on switching property management companies and the requirements. Any help or website would be much appreciated. thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Answer Typically, the owner provides the existing company with notice to end the management agreement and directs them to turn over all records and funds to either the owner or the new management company.
