Question
Hi......thank you for your time & concern.  I have had allergies for many years. I had allergy tests 15 years ago. Positive to grass'. I received shots for years. What do you recommend for allergy relief when someone isnt receiving shots? I have been feeling miserable lately. I would appreciate any advice & suggestions. Thank You

Answer
There are a number of over the counter remedies available these days for allergies. Claritin and Zyrtec are antihistamine pills that you can buy over the counter. Both tend to be effective, inexpensive and have few, if any, side effects.

You can also find some antihistamine nasal sprays that can work well.

But my best advice is to consult with your doctor to make sure what you are feeling is truly allergies and to help you figure out the best course of treatment.

To your health,
Kathi
