Question I have end stage COPD, however, I still push to stay off the oxygen full time, I am on it at night. I struggle to breathe when I do anything, but lately I have noticed that my hands and feet feel strange, like tingling or swelling. Now after talking a lot I am worn out and then when I stand up I feel sick at my stomach. What am I going through, is it related to the COPD. Thank you so much
Martha
Answer It could be however tingling may be a vascular problem, i would consult your md. You might want to try this tip with the oxygen. Before you put your feet on the floor to get up switch the oxygen on for 10 minutes, because your oxygen saturation may drop at night, when you stand up it drops more, however putting it on for that short time, you might find you are breathing better and may get more chores done. If you go to the americal lung association canada, they have many great articles on copd, feel free to email again karel
