Question
Dear Sir,
I would be greatful if you could answer this question :
Is there a relation between air pollution and allergies ?
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Fahima Zayed,

Yes, it has been shown that pollution aggravates allergies. Actually, a lot of things can trigger allergies; it just depends on how sensitive a person is, and what they are allergic to. I've seen people get an asthma attack or allergic reaction to someone's perfume, or even the smell of the cleaning fluid used to mop the floors. Everyone has their own triggers and levels of sensitivity. Even the public schools don't let the children play outside when there is a ‘smog alert'. Air pollution can cause breathing problems. If you have any specific questions about how air pollution can cause or aggravate allergies, I suggest that you talk to your doctor. You might also want to check out this web site…
