I have just entered the exciting world of job searching after a long career in the now imploding mortgage industry. my resume is without dought a bit outdated with its format and i would appreciate any help/critique on any improvements.

A good resume is intended to secure an interview and not a job. With this in mind, an effective resume should be no longer than ONE page. It should contain: personal information (name, address, e-mail, etc.), objective (exact nature of the job you are seeking), educational background, occupational background and references.
