Resume Help/Education category

Hello!  Please help me arranging my degree & certificates in my resume.  I am a certified medical coder.  I took two certificate programs in the past on medical coding:
1.  Certified Professional Coder Training Course, Healthcare Coding & Billing Institute, Makati, Philippines, 2013
2.  Medical Records Coding, Open Training & Education Network – Western Sydney Institute, NSW, Australia, 2011

But prior to these, I obtained the following degrees:
1.  Doctor of Medicine, San Beda College, Manila, Philippines, 2007
2.  Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Colorado State University-Pueblo, CO, United States, 2003
3.  Bachelor in Business Administration, University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI, United States, 2000
  Earned 30 credit hours leading to BBA.

Should I list all these five under one category (i.e., Education)?  Or should I separate those two coding certificates to another category?

Hope you could help me.  Thanks!

Hi Mark,

List academic education under one section (EDUCATION), then list the certifications, employer related training and continuing education under another section (CERTIFICATIONS).

HR personnel and hiring authorities expect to see these subject headings on the typical resume, and it helps them to scan relevant data in a glance. Additionally, talent management or applicant tracking systems are designed to quantify entries under specific categories on the resume, so if you use your data for an online application program, you can be sure the system will properly interpret the entries.

Hope this response helps answer your question!
