Question
Hi Ruth,

How would you format awards and achievements on a functional résumé? Would I have to put the city and state of where I received the awards and the date of when I received them?

Answer
Dear Kim:

In a functional resume you list your categories of expertise and then at the bottom you give your brief list of Professional Experience.  I would list your awards and Acheivements underneath that heading.  Make a new heading:  Awards and Achievements.  I would put the date of when you received them, but the city and state is optional.  Warmly, R. Butler
