Question I've been managing properties on my own for several years now. But I am interested in getting involved in larger projects. But I am finding there are many closed doors in this industry unless you know someone.
Answer Not sure what to suggest -- this industry doesn't tend to be in hiring mode these days, but job openings do show up regularly. Most employers will want to see that you have the proper credentials (in California, a real estate license), and some eduction & experience in the field of property management. For large employers, they may also require a college degree, and even advance credentials (such as Certified Property Manager). Good luck, and just keep applying for the positions and get your resume out there.
