Question I currently work for a fairly large developer as the commercial lease administrator. We anticipate developing and now managing approximately 4 million sq ft of retail space over the next 3 years. The management aspect is somewhat of a new concept for the company, and CAM's have been especially grueling. Are there any courses, seminars, or books available to further educate myself with?
Answer You can look into the Institute of Real Estate Management (www.IREM.org), and they have courses you can take on this sort of thing. This area of commercial real estate can be confusing and very involved, which is why many developers outsource the management functions. Best of luck!
