Question I am planning to open a retail store in Florida. Are there any companies that can help you determine the best location for handmade imported products? I just dont want to choose the worng location for my retail store. Thanks.
Answer There are no specialty companies that I know of who could choose a location for your particular business. You could try asking your suppliers' opinions to see if they have any advice, or if you know someone else who runs a similar business they may be willing to share their thoughts. Your best option may be to hire a commercial real estate broker (that specializes in retail) to represent you in finding suitable space. The costs to do so is usually paid by the landlord in the form of a commission, so there's normally no out of pocket costs to you. The broker will be in the best position to find locations that may be good for your type of business.
