Question
My sister has terminal cancer and shes 52 . she was married to a man 18 yrs and never remarried he is still working and the same age. can she collect on any of his beneifits ( military 11 yrs etc .. she worked but not enough quarters for ssi disability .. just ssi.

Answer
Jackie,

I am sorry to hear about your sister's medical condition. Unfortunately, I cannot comment about military benefits because I know nothing about them.

An ex-spouse can collect disability benefits on her former spouse's Social Security record, but only if he is disabled and also collecting benefits. See here for more details: https://www.ssa.gov/planners/disability/dfamily3.html
