There are very few side effects with Glucosamine. Here are the things to look for.
Shellfish allergies.
Most Glucosamine comes from shellfish. If you are allergic to Glucosamine then I would look for a product that comes from another source. If it does not say where it comes from you can assume that it is from shell fish.
Diabetics
Glucosamine can effect insulin levels and is not recommended for people with diabetes.
High doses of glucosamine have been known to cause gastric problems.
