Question Hi Rusty,
First of all, please excuse any grammar mistakes, as I am not english native.
I read your CMO article on selfgrowth.com.
The reason I am writing it is because my sister has poly arthritis rhumatoid and the vater of a friend has arthritis. I am 35 and I start to get pain in my fingers, ankle and one knee. Not sure if they are early signs of arthritis. However I have so much goodness about CMO and also critics such as on http://www.ftc.gov/os/2000/05/cmocmp.htm, that I wanted to get your feedback. Is it safe to use for poly arthritis rhumatoid (my sister), normal arthritis (friend) and early signs (for me)?
I really appreciate the time you are taking to answer the questions and THANK YOU a million in Advance,
Best regards from England

Answer Halima,
The site you mentioned ftc.gov is concerning the marketing of Cetyl Myristoleate (CMO) not about the product itself. It is against the law here in the United State for a supplement product to make a claim that it can cure a disease. The truth is that Cetyl Myristoleate can not cure arthritis. It can however be a strong treatment for osteoarthritis and can help with the inflammatory symptoms of autoimmune arthritis such as rheumatoid or poly arthritis.
It is safe. To date there has not been one adverse reaction report made against it with the federal government here in the US.
Here are two of my articles that may help answer some of your questions.
The product that I have used for years is Cetylpure by Natrol. It is an affordable and effective product. One of the cheapest places to buy it is at Vitacost.com. They ship to the UK.
