Question Karen,
How effective is a dietary supplement such as Glucosamine in the building or replacing cartilage in an area which xrays show bone joints practially rubbing together. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Answer Dear Fred, I do not take this suppliment because I do not need to at this point and may never need to, but a friend of mine who has more debilitating Osteoarthritis than myself, can't live with out it.... She swears that it really helps and when she runs out and can't get any more for several days (on s.s. disability) she can really tell the difference....
My suggestion would be to try it if you want to and the doctor says it is okey to use with your other prescription drugs and if it works, then take it....
