About *Patt*
Expertise
i know a lot about this disease having it in my family from grandmothers, mother to sisters and children.

Experience
I have lived with this disease for some twenty five years. I can offer help in dealing with this, how to know you might have it or be getting it and why. I know the pain involved, the crippliing effect and can offer suggestions for relief. I will not medicate nor talk about what you should be taking, this is for your docter. I can however follow up with you on why and what works.

Rheumatology (including Arthritis) - Ischial Bursitis

Expert: *Patt* - 10/4/2004

Question
This appears to be a bit peripheral to your specialty, but --

For several months, I have had pain in both hips, diagnosed as ischial bursitis.  Various analgesics offer minimal and temporary relief, but the problem persists.  Physical therapy seemed to be of little benefit.  Is there another approach you might suggest for more permanent relief?  For bursitis, is there any benefit offered by chiropractic treatment?

Answer
HI FRANK
SORRY THIS SITE HAS BEEN UP AND DOWN AND I COULD NOT GET ONTO IT TO HELP.
MY HIPS ARE GOING, EVIDENTUALLY ITS NEW HIPS OR ELSE.  I JUST TAKE ALIEVE FOR PAIN, HOT TUB SOAKS OF TWENTY MINUTES, A HEATED MESSAGE HOMEMEDICS PAD AND A PORTABLE TUB SPA OR HOT TUB IF U CAN AFFORD ONE.
STEROIDS IS WHAT IS USED ALOT, BUT I REFUSED THEM.  I GET SO ILL.  TAKE SHORT SLOW WALKS, OR RIDE A BIKE DAILY, TRY AND DO SOME LIGHT EXERCISE.  KEEP MOVING AND DO NOT GIVE UP.  DO NOT TAKE ALOT OF JUNK TO UPSET THE STOMACH WHEN IT DOES NOT MUCH FOR THIS.
INFLAMATORY PILLS HELP SOME BUT HARD ON THE STOMACH AND BOWELS.

WARM REGARDS
PATT
