Question Gina,
I had the RA Latex Turbid (?) test done and am very confused. The results show an 8.5 with the lab limits being 0.0 - 13.9. I have been on several websites with conflicting results... one says if you have any reading you have RA, but another says that a small percentage of people have a small amount normally. The doctor was no help except gave me a prescription for 800 mg of ibuprofen. Where can I go to get an actual answer without draining my pocketbook more than it has already?
Answer Yes you do have a mild case of arthritis. I would not be too alarmed about it. When I got tested for it I had a 12.9 and that was severe. I would just take it easy, no running!! Dont do anything that hurts it. Also, ibuprofen is known to cause tearing of the stomach lining so only take it when it hurts!
