Question Hi,
My 18 year old cousin suffers from severe rheumatoid arthritis. She can barely move. It started about one and a half years ago and is progressing quickly. She also has scleroderma. Is there anything that can be done for he? Right now, she is on cancer medications. She has been to many doctors - and has everyone puzzled - they say it is the most severe case that they have ever seen. It all started in Pakistan - when she went on a vacation. I feel so bad for her and am willing to do whatever it takes to help her...
Answer Hi Nasim,
Sorry to hear about all these problems. I would strongly recommend 3000mg/day of glucosamine sulfate with MSM. This is proven to help osteoarthritis patients tremendously by rebuilding lost cartilage. The studies are not completed yet for RA, since there are no side effects, I would try it.
If she is diabetic, she needs to watch her blood glucose levels more closely when taking it. It is over the counter and easy to get, try that in combination with her other meds, it can only help.
