Question
i am 55yr old and have had few mild eposodes of arthritis in my life. like stiffness in the knees and back pain. about 2 yrs ago i had a calcium deposit taken off my shin bone below my knee. my question is could that have progressed my arthritis t take hold faster than normal. lately i have been having a lot of pain in my joints. towards the eveining hours my hands and feet will swell and become painful. i also have tendonitis in my right arm that really is hurting esp at night. i will wake up with my srm hurting all the way from shoulder to hand. is my arthritis getting worse or is this normal.

Answer
I'm so sorry you're in pain.  Waking up at night from pain is not normal.  You should see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis of what's going on and help with a treatment.  There are many different conditions that fall under the heading of "arthritis" and only an experienced physician can even begin to put together the puzzle that is causing your problems.  Good luck.
