There is an arthritus named "corrosive arthritus", mistaken at first for rhuematoid arthritus or psoriatic arthritus on many occasions. Nsaids are employed at first but prednisone (prednisolone) is often more effective. Also a maintenance dose is also used in fighting this complaint so maybe prescribed permanently.
