Rheumatology (including Arthritis) - What harm can be done to me...

Expert: Karen Brawner - 8/19/2004

Question
What harm can be done to me by VA doctors ruling out arthritis and rheumatism as a cause of my joint pain
which several VA personnel have told me is caused by my exposure to Agent Orange

Answer
Dear Joe,   If the doctors did a RF blood test and if was negative, then there is still a slight chance that you do have rheumatoid arthritis.....  As far as harm to you, there is really not that much, since RA is treated with medication for inflammation and you should probably already be taking that anyway.....

Just do not have enough information here to be more specific...

Thank you,   karen
