Question Dr.Tim my question is I am a 31 year female and for the past two weeks or so I have had really bad pain in both my knees especially when bending down, sitting even sometimes when I am doing nothing what is this ?could it be arthris?
Answer Yes it probably is Tracy,
Especially if it grinds with flexion or weather changes. If it does not, it could be infection, chondromalacia patellae, Osgood-Schlatter disease, tendonitis or other rare conditions. Ice is always good for these things but glucosamine sulfate taken at 3000mg/day with MSM is the cure. Take that since it is inexpensive and available at any Walgreens OTC, you will notice a difference in a few weeks to months. Read my profile for more info. An x-ray will confirm OA, I recommend you get one.
